I am an islander, for ever in love with the sea, as were all my ancestors. I did search deep, back into my long family tree: my ancestors were all islanders, from Rhodes, Spetses, Paros, Crete.
The Aegean islands are, in my opinion, the most beautiful islands on earth. This is a conclusion that I reached after years of world traveling.
I love the Aegean sun. Anti-depressant, therapeutic, life-giving, it fills you with vitality and creativity. And, at the same time, we have the endless Aegean sea, in all shades of blue. I love to gaze at the sea for hours: I have an influx of new ideas while doing that, and this has been my favorite game ever since I was a kid. There’s so much to do at sea: swimming, fishing, traveling. How can I forget the endless romantic nights at the sea shore, with the rest of the bunch.
The Aegean sky is stunning. It’s blue for the biggest part of the year. But even when it overcast with clouds and rainy storms, it’s still beautiful. Storms don’t last long and there’s always the bright sun at the end, ever instilling joy and love for life into our souls.
