The experience is based around her stone-built house near Chania Crete, which features a large yard as well as lots of flowers and trees, and includes excellent local food cooking, invigorating chit-chat, unique village-strolls, and learning opportunities regarding the local traditions.

Fournes is 16 km away (Northwest) from Chania city and is built in the rich valley of Keriti river. It is the biggest village of the prefecture with 663 residents. In 15 minutes you can find yourself at the amazing beaches of Platania's and Sainta Marina, on the north side of the island.
The village is on a green plain with many orange groves. During April or May anyone who passes-by can experience the distinctive smell of orange flowers.
There are lots of grocery shops, cafes and traditional taverns with tasty Cretan foods.
The village is surrounded by many beautifull villages like Meskla and Zourva.
The visitor can take a walk through nature, enjoying the calm surroundings and the bird songs, and visit the church of Christ Savior. 12 kilometres away on the south, are the Lefka Ori mountains, at an altitude of 1820 metres.

The visitors will have a chance to experience the daily routine of the local Cretan, learn about the area and its history, cook local deli dishes like “Haniotiko pilafi” and “mpoureki” and enjoy the warm and friendly chit-chat
The visitors will walk to the unique local high-altitude olive groves, visit the St Raphael chapel, and walk to the Keritis river, local orange groves and the botanical park, therefore experiencing first-hand all local flora and fauna
